What is an off road alternator or starter? Well here are some advantages. First off they are designed to handle the vibration, high heat, and dusty conditions of off-road use. the extra heavy duty design will take a beating for years to come.
No matter which 4x4, you have, be it GMC, Chevy, Ford, Chrysler, H2 Hummer, CJ & XJ, Jeep and so on, we can design a dual alternator, competition car audio, or single unit with hi-amp ratting such as 100 150 200 250 amp. Get them in chrome, coated, or polished alternators, our high amp units are moab tested and approved.
All extra heavy duty parts such as sealed bearings that will handle up to 15,000 RPM, and dust resistant brushes and slip rings, and larger cooling ports.
They are water resistant, you cant build a performance alternator or starter and make it water proof. You need openings to allow for cooling. But we can make them resistant, with things like epoxy coating and gel filled connections to name a few.
